Why Women Need Mens Dress Shoes

There are still many male slobs out there, which is good news for those of you looking to improve your chances with the ladies. There is nothing more appealing to most women than a well dressed man, and whether you believe it or not, a woman's eye starts from the shoes up, and not the neck down, when she's checking out your attire. For many men, casual footwear rules the day, but you'd better make sure its clean, hip, and trendy. And for those bachelors out there who are a little more advanced in years, then mens shoes fashion are still the shiny leather best dress shoes, supported by a smart pair of slacks.

So just how do we Judge A Man by his Shoes?

In this miniseries we're going to take a look at how society judges a man by his shoes. So important in this ground level detail, that it can determine whether you want to get to know the person better or not. Okay, so let's kick-off with:

Designer Athletic Shoes (we'll move on to formal dress shows later in the series. If the guy sports a nice pair of brand name athletic shoes on his feet, you will know right away that he is hip, most likely fit and healthy, and he will have enough cash to take out a date for a drink, nice meal, and perhaps even more if the relationship blossoms. In other words, he's probably not strapped for a bob or two.

Mens Dress Shoes: The BLACK Lace-up Oxfords - have been around since the year dot and for good reasons. If you see a man wearing this timeless footwear, there's a good chance he's in well paid professional employment, and takes his attire seriously. The man in the black oxfords might be a tad narcissistic, but in a good way.

Mens Dress Shoes: The BROWN Lace-up Oxfords - so, we've looked at the black lace-up oxfords, and now we need to see what kind of man can be found wearing the brown ones. It's said that the brown lace-up oxford guy is a real nice bloke. He's considered to be a family man who has very traditional values (including romance). He's not a people pleaser as such, but will help anyone at any time if he thinks they deserve it. He's a good friend, husband, and father to his kids.

The Brown Leather Sandals: Ah yes, the hippy shoe! Make no bones about it, you couldn't get any further away from the smart formal dress show than the brown leather sandals. It's unlikely the man who wears these also wears formal footwear. This is not necessarily a bad thing if you like you man laid back, but be warned, such nonchalant guys are usually hopeless at DIY, quite anti-establishment, and care little for a tidy home. The good side is that you'll not get into too many arguments with these types because, well, they can't be bothered to debate.

Clogs for Men: Either the very young adult males in education, or the unemployed and proud of it rebel types opt for the man clog style in footwear. Men in clogs are often exhibitionists who want everyone to know they are NOT dedicated followers of fashion and are happy to be known as a little strange. If you want a casual man, who's laid back and fun to be with, then go with the guy in flip-flops every time.

Thongs: Yes, let's not forget the good ole thongs, also known as flip-flops to the Brits because of the noise they make whilst walking. Nothing could be further away from a dress shoe than a beach style of flip-flop. All that can be said about a man in thongs is to look at the quality of them. If they're cheap and ultra rubbery, then he probably will be too! If they are of obvious good quality, then cast your eyes upwards to the rest of his attire and grooming so that a decision can be made.

A word of warning though. The man who wears thongs outside of pool or beach areas is usually very casual, and that attitude often reflects on his non-commitment to relationships too. Playful footwear is all well and good in playful places, but anywhere other is a man who's generally non-committal.

Barefooted Man: Ah, this is the character that does as much walking outside in bare feet as possible. So what kind of an individual is he? To put it bluntly he's an exobishionist. He knows he'll get noticed strolling down the high street without any footwear. He thinks he looks cool and laid back, but in actual fact he just looks like a bit of a pratt, and the older he is, the more idiotic he appears. If you like a man who is full of self and spends most of his time concentrating on the I, I, I, me, me, me, then barefoot man is for you. If not, then avoid him like the plague.

The Man in Boots: There are basically 2 types of male boot wearers, those being the guy in hiking style boots, and the one with the designer footwear. Let's first look at the guy in hiking boots. He's the type of guy that's always in a hurry and finds sitting and relaxing a hard thing to do (just watch that shaking leg). He wants to be moving, going somewhere, doing something, constantly. This type of man can make a good partner, but only if you don;t ever try to tie him down.

Now we have Mr Flash, the chap in the designer boots. These are the 'look at me girls' kind of people who often times feel a little superior to the women they date. Research has shown that a regular designer boot wearer is not the kind of fellow that will invest much time and effort trying to nurture a relationship.

Man in The Man in shabby sneakers: If you see a man in a shabby worn out pair of sneakers in the outside world, then there's a pretty good chance you'll never get this type of guy into smart dress shoes of any description. This guy has little respect for himself when it comes to dress. Try not to mistake this look for one of casual wear because it's far from that too. The shabby-sneaker man is almost certainly going to be bone-idle man too, so take heed.
