Bowling - Enjoyed by millions the world over! But did you know you could improve your game by leaps and bounds just by wearing correct and quality bowling shoes? A happy pastime could become a fantastic activity when you start winning you games. Even the bowling shoes which were once the comical footwear for the bowling geeks has now become a must have for every player. In fact, people put on their bowling shoes without a second thought these days and for good reason. If a ball drops on a player's foot, it is likely that he or she will never forget or refuse to wear bowling protective footwear ever again. In the name of safety, having the appropriate shoes is up on the top of the list of bowling rules and if you get caught without them at the local bowling alley you will surely get pulled over and warned by the management. Those that run bowling alleys have seen far too many fractured toes and feet over their time caused by the dropping of a heavy bowling ball, so it's little wonder why they are so strict with this rule. As an enthusiast and weekly player, I have bought my own pair of Etonic bowling shoes, but if you're just starting out or only play on occasions, then you will most likely not be wanting to invest in such footwear, which is okay as you can get the shoes issued/rented at the alley. My wife is also a keen bowler although we rarely play together. She has recently invested in a good pair of women’s bowling shoes made by Brunswick. I get a little jealous at times because there seems to be more choices in styles, colors, and designs with women’s bowling shoes, and compared to my bland black jobs, she looks dressed to kill when she gets togged up for a game. So remember folks, we wear special bowling shoes for a good reason and it's really a wise move to invest in your own footwear if you get serious about the game. Inside any pro bowling shop you can surely find just about anything that you need for bowling, from balls and bags to shoes, brushes, and powder or resin. Get fit, have fun, look great, and without having to worry about the weather. It just doesn't get any better than bowling! Oh, and don't forget that a good pair of bowling shoes will help to improve your game too! |
