Footwear Fashion Tips - Choosing the Right Shoes for Ladies

Fashion and styles do not always go with support and comfort. Ask any woman! Ladies love their shoes, and men love seeing their ladies wear them, especially the high heeled styles seen on the right here.

However, there is a sacrifice for fashion, and that is if shoes like the ones here are worn regularly then the consequences of having foot related problems later on are pretty high. Footwear fashion tip #1 Only wear stiletto shoes when the occasion warrants it!

Many people, women in particular, have more shoes than they know what to do with, but are usually reluctant to throw any of them away. It’s not that folks have more money than sense, but more to do with the market being flooded by good looking hip footwear at giveaway prices. Sadly, smart looking does not equate to well made supportive footwear. On the contrary, such shoes and boots are more often than not damaging to feet and dangerous to health. A good footwear fashion tip is to place quality and support above looks every time! It's both a short and a long term investment in footcare.

Feet Fashion Tips for folks who dislike their Feet

Believe it or not, but many people rank their feet as one of their best features, despite their proximity to eye level! Such people can get away with wearing all kinds of hip footwear as they want to attract and not detract admirers to their feet and ankles. But not everyone is so lucky, and many others we think of their feet as a hideous yet necessary evil, and do everything they make them inconspicuous. Don’t despair! Providing you know how to dress your feet, you too can make them look real nice, but there are a few things you need to bear in mind before you go out shopping.

If your toes are the most disliked part of your feet, then whatever you do don’t wear open toed footwear. I know it sounds obvious, but so many people walk around in sandals and thongs (flip-flops) while at the same time complaining about their toes. Go for pumps with a closed toe folks. Or you could even try a peep-toe pump and see if that works out as it’s less revealing.

If it ain’t our nose, it’s our hands, and if it ain’t our hands it’s our sticky out ears right? The point is that folks are always complaining about some part of their body that they’d like to change given the chance, and feet are often well up there. But the reality is that no one sees things in the same way as we do, but that doesn’t help much when you have a conscience about your feet. And as feet can’t really be cosmetically altered to any degree, it’s up to us to dress them in a way that hides the bad points and highlights the good.

Maybe you have nice high ankles, or a high foot arch. If so, look for footwear which will accentuate the good points. If in doubt, just tell an experienced assistant what you would like and why, and they will surely be able to help. Remember, if you don’t ask for help and just tell the store you’d like to purchase this shoe or that boot, they’ll simply box them and bill you without any further questions. These people are trained to help (when asked) and not to interfere with customers choices when assistance is not requested.

It’s a misconception that sexy shoes look great but cripple the wearer. Many dedicated followers of fashion swear that in order to look the part they must suffer. This is just not true! Hey, there’s nothing sexy about a lady limping in stilettos that hurt, or blood yielding blisters occupying the heels and tips of toes! No folks, your shoes really must fit if you want your feet to have a sexy look to them.

Summary: Don't neglect your feet. Get to know them for both good and bad. Learn how to hide or disguise the bad points and accentuate the good. High heels are great for social and formal occasions, but low heels are better for casual events. Properly fitted shoes DO LOOK BETTER than those that are obviously poorly fitted. And finally, if in doubt, seek help! It’s what they shoe fitters are trained for.
